Has anyone tried Dr Zebra strings?

Unread post by Soof » Thu Apr 20, 2017 5:57 am

According to DR website their Zebra strings promote a better amped sound because of 8% nickel steel along with their phosphor bronze metal.

Has anyone tried them on their acoustic?

I had never heard of them before now. Not sure how much of a difference they would make over my normal Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings but I'm always open to something new. Definitely worth trying at least :)

Zebra also makes bowstrings, so I guess their guitar strings can handle being pulled hard too.
As for the 8% more nickel being the holy grail of crispy tone, I'm a sceptic.
At one time or another we find a brand and gauge of strings we like, and stick to it, or not.

If a guitar needs new strings, it's worth trying out something different,
especially if you're not fully happy with what you got at the moment.

Sounds interesting, if you try them and find them better, please let us know. :D
