PSR E413 styles

Unread postby Cristi » Fri Oct 03, 2008 7:03 pm

Hi everyone!
I've used the search button to find something about adding a new style from the PC to the keyboard. I understood they will work only if they are compatible with SFF styles.
Do you have such a compatible style file so I can try it?
I don't want to buy the style from the Yamaha site until I know they will work.
Thanks a lot!
:D

Hi Cristi,
Welcome to the Forums! Do a google search for SFF files and you will likely find some for download.

Problem loading PSR E418 new styles

Unread postby Cristi » Sat Oct 04, 2008 3:06 pm

HI again!
I've tried many various style (PSR620,700, etc...) *.sty files (SFF format they sad), I've used software to convert them, still nothing (on my PSR E413).
The MIDI files I put on the flash memory are played, but when trying to access the new style there is "NO DATA" !!! :?
Maybe there is another software tool for adding styles (I'm using Musicsoft Downloader 5.5.0 from Yamaha )?
Can anyone send me a compatible *.sty file? (Or I should try with others extensions? st2,evt).

I'm enough familiar with computer language (I'm a programer), I've searched with Google for answers and I appreciate your help!
Thank you very much!

See page 74 of the owner's manual for clarification. Apparently user styles can only be loaded to style location #166 and can than be used the same as internal styles. Any .sty file should work.

Indeed, it does recognize the sty files. When I enter Functions -> SFF load, to load the style I want from those I've copied into the flash memory I can see them there. But when selecting #166 style no., it displays 'No data'.

I hope there is not a problem with my keyboard (I hope there is a problem with me using this keyboard  )

Thanks again Clyde for your promptitude! :D

More than likely it is some little "step" or keystroke that is either not getting done/received or similar. Keyboards for the last 20 years have been known to be extremely sensitive to such, hope you get it resolved. Perhaps a user with experience loading .sty files can offer some input.

PSR E413 Adding Styles

Unread postby Cristi » Sun Oct 05, 2008 2:01 pm

Hi again!
I hope this will help someone! :D

After copying the styles into the flash memory, select the one you want to use from Functions -> Sff Load (with +/- you can change the selection) then press 0 (it will ask you LoadOK?) press + (YES)....
that's all

Have FUN!
God bless you!

Yamaha PSR E414

Unread postby R1P » Wed Dec 31, 2008 3:40 am

Hey,

I just bought a PSR E414 and I was wondering if I could download any songs into the memory so that I can use the sounds of it.
Or it maybe is possible to add sounds to it.
I hope someone will explain it to me, because I don't have a users manual and I'm a beginner playing piano ( 15 years old ).

Greetings ( And a merry christmas and happy newyear (: )

Go to this page:
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/index.php

Enter your synth model in the search box, then click on search. The results will give you a .pdf file of the owner's manual for your synth which you can then download and print out.
