See http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142310653915? ... EBIDX%3AIT
This is a beauty but what a price it's reaching with several days still to go. The last MSGs have have recorded as sold on Ebay are in 2015 two standards one for £330 one for £511 and a Deluxe for only £440.

Hi everyone - my first post.

I have an SG800, AES500 and a Revstar 502 along with a number of Gibsons & Fenders and a Hamer usa Special P90. The SG800 made all of the latter pretty much redundant when i bought it 3 years ago and turned me into into a Yamaha fan. The two cheaper guitars are great in their own way as well - both acquired for relative peanuts.

Today i have taken delivery of a sunburst MSG Deluxe, bought from ebay @ £546. It is absolutely stunning, the most beautiful guitar i have owned and love at first sight and play. I can not believe how undervalued these guitars are - as are many Hamers which IMO are beautifully crafted custom shop guitars. The MSG is the equal or superior in build quality to any of my guitars.

Hi Buzzard - a little surprised that you think the higher prices have gone up ridiculously - in my view they are still massive bargains and remain hugely undervalued.

Hi GRI57 , Welcome to the Yamaha Forums. :D

HNGD and congrats on your new MSG Deluxe, at a price that I find absolutely fair.
Once you can, please post pictures of the beauty. ((i))

Did you notice what the MSG standard mentioned in the first post ended up at ? .... £790 ....
.... second one .... £720 .... compared to your Deluxe, that's expensive.

Good site for MSG/Image info: http://www.alston-family.co.uk/MSG/indexmsg.php

The MSG/Image have been in the shadows of the MIJ SG and Weddingtons for a while, maybe because the MSG/Image are MIT ?
But lately(ish) the MSG's have marched towards top prices, and will probably never be on the low price lists again.

With the Martyn Booth design and heritage, the MSG's have always been known to be great guitars.

B.t.w. I'm on the lookout for a Custom, if I can afford it, once a good one comes along.

Best Regards
Peter
