Two New guitars

Unread post by Asmikace » Sat Feb 25, 2017 3:38 am

Got two new guitars this month. Got done working 60 hour work weeks for 4 weeks out of state so I had the money to guitar money. I dropped off a coworker at his town who introduced me to his other employer who had a guitar store years ago and still had some stock left. I was able to get a very nice NOS Washburn Idol WI66Pro with a spalted maple top that is what I read is pretty rare with a deluxe gig bag and Washburn Hat and Shirt for $340. But before then I was able to negotiate with a guitar store over Reverb the Yamaha I wanted next, SG 45, with a reduced price and with a nice vintage guitar strap.

Very nice. The SG45 looks great. I worked on a Washburn once. The electronics needed attention and some other bits needed doing. I was really impressed with the quality.

Washburn from that period have amazing quality for the value and the reason I got the Washburn on the spot is because it had Seymour Duncans and Grover Tuners along with the great playability. I became one of my go to guitars.

There is something that resonates with me with the SG45 with their Les Paul like design and simple and elegant wood finish and pickguard. I am a bit said I could come with a agreement with the other guitar which I think is a SG-65. If I get another 60 hour work week project I could still get one in the future.

I wish I knew about it, I didn't realize the Pound isn't to far from the Dollar.
