This is brilliant stuff that anyone can try without any mods:  https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index ... k.1704214/  Idea and clips by John Dale. ((i))

The same article show 3 youtube clips, they are included here:

Interesting stuff but I am wondering what is the difference between going through a THR and going through something like Amplitube or Guitar Rig into a pair of powered monitors or headphones? I mean I like the THR as a portable amp, it performs that task very well but once you hook it up to your computer and start using software to control sounds then your getting into Amplitube/Guitar Rig territory. Would be interesting to do a comparison.

Some of the examples in the youtube clips gives the amp a snarling growl and some cool "Lo-Fi" tones.
These sounds can be saved as patches (up to 100 on a computer).
A THR amp can be used for live performances if it's miked up, or using the headphones out to a pa system.

I guess you can get something similar by using Guitar Rig or some og the Zoom products, actually, probably ANY system using a soundcard and software.

When it comes to THR amps, I'm well equipped, but not owning any of the other products, someone else will have to do the research,
VERY INTERISTING to hear if anyone can do similar sound effects.

Regards
Peter

I have Amplitube here somewhere. I have not reinstalled it since changing drives and I also have these two Yamaha mixers the AG03 and AG06...although technically I would say they are Audio Interfaces with mixer type abilities;) Will get it all hooked up over the weekend and try it out. I "think" I may also have Guitar Rig and if so will try that too.

Yamaha were going to send me a THR and Revstar but I have a feeling that one may never happen now ;)
