George, what bass is a suitable match for the Yamaha AES models ?

Triplets ?

how about the semi acoustic triplets: AEX-500N + AEX-500 + BEX-4 (all have piezo in the bridge)

RGX triplets: RGX-tt + RGX-tt D6 .... + some matching RBX bass.

More RGX triplets: RGX-420s + RGX-420s D6 .... + some matching RBX bass.

Another BEAUTIFUL set of twins: SG-35 + SB-35

Regards
Peter

You are correct . No bass to match. I was just thinking of the baritone and forgot the bass. Dumb!!!
I have a 35 but no bass. I do have a first series bass in pieces. Can't recall the model number but the Link Wray style. Somehow I just can't bring myself to buy the guitar . Though I love the switches and the whole retro vibe that headstock is just so Fugly . I only have the bass cause it was almost a giveaway and needed lots of work. Hence it is still in pieces.

No problem George.

There are PLENTY of nice guitars to match up with other "twin" or "triplet" guitars, that could be interesting.

If you post some pics of your "bass in pieces" we might be able to identify the exact model. 8)

Regards
Peter

Peter
A quick Google search reveals that it's an SB2. Maybe this long cold winter I'll get it back together.

.... The Eagle Beak .... that's a cool Bass, and a match for some of the early SG guitars.
