Seeing as its Christmas (2016) . . . .

Unread postby parametric » Sat Dec 24, 2016 5:19 pm

Here's something I hacked together on my Fusion's sequencer - no frills, no post production,

It's my arrangement of Harold Darke's "In the Bleak Midwinter" . . .

I just added some of my favourite "suspensions" in various places - perhaps a bit too "schmaltzy" for some . . . . ? but I like it

It's always been a firm favourite of mine, and if I had a quid for every time I've sung it - I could afford to get legless about now . . .

For me, it seems to embody the "true meaning" of Christmas - i.e NOT the "commercial" meaning (IYSWIM)

VERY x-massy and mellow, to my ears ..... violins and human voices.

Thanks, I enjoyed that. ((i))

Regards
Peter

Thanks Peter,

It needs refining. I just played it in, no frills, no fx apart from the resident ones.

Maybe in time I'll add the words when my voice is in some sort of shape again . .
